personality
of the many ways one can describe mitsuki, the first that comes to mind is absentminded. mitsuki is often prone to spacing out and coming off as airheaded, sometimes even resulting in her saying unwittingly flirtatious remarks. this is usually with aya being on the receiving end, much to her chagrin from how smooth mitsuki can be without meaning to be. at her core, she is a taciturn and reserved girl. an introvert when it comes to things that are beyond her comfort zone.
whenever speaking about music, especially western rock, mitsuki becomes a different person and seems so alive. however, this also comes with it drawbacks, as she's prone to being nervous when in the spotlight and has a low view of herself from years of being picked on for standing out. her struggles with her self-esteem and anxiety often causes her to have difficulties in accepting friendships from her peers without thinking herself undeserving of it. she's prone to shutting down in highly stressful situations, at one point blacking out from intensive studying thanks to being heavily stressed by upcoming exams to improve her other grades aside from her english which was already fluent. once mitsuki had come to, she realized she couldn't remember buying the food she was carrying at the time.
stressful situations in general causes mitsuki to retreat within herself. although she also is prone to in a misguided way; doing whatever she feels best to help others by placing their needs above her own. such as, giving away the concert ticket she had to see the red hot chili peppers to aya's friend chizuru in an attempt to help their relationship get back on track despite desiring to see them with aya. mitsuki cares deeply for those around her, she might not be a confrontational or direct person, but she tries to do what she can regardless of the results not being favorable from her choices.
